With the crunch of the toasted Ciabbata bread, the tang of the BBQ, the caramelized onions and the juicy rib meat, this sandwich is sure to satisfy you.

Boneless BBQ Rib Sandwich

Ingredients
- 1 rack Baby Back Ribs (about 8 oz of meat)
- 1 loaf Ciabatta or French bread
- 1 med onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 3 tbs Rub (1 1/2 tsp of each; salt, pepper, garlic powder,onion powder, paprika, and chili powder)
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 3 pats butter
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
Directions for Caramelized Onions
- Slice onions and put in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Cook slowly until translucent.
- Add butter and Worcestershire sauce.
- Continue cooking until dark brown but not burnt.
- Set aside and keep warm.
Directions for Ribs
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Trim fat a bit off of the ribs.
- Pat dry and brush lightly with olive oil.
- Season ribs with rub.
- Wrap ribs in foil, place bone side down on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hrs.
- Remove from oven. Remove foil and pull bones out gently.
- Turn oven to broiler on high.
- Return ribs to cookie sheet and lather up ribs on both sides with bbq sauce.
- Broil ribs 5 minutes to caramelize sauce.
- Slice bread loaf length wise and butter both side.
- Sprinkle garlic powder on top sides and broil to toast lightly.
- Put ribs on bread, top with caramelized onions.
- Slice into 2 inch sections.
2 sections is 1/2 a sandwich which is the serving size.
